SodaStream gets CO2 from well-known distributors and manufacturers, all of whom uphold the highest standards in food grade, storage, and supply.

The CO2 SodaStream uses is certified food-grade CO2 for human consumption and every batch of CO2 we use is tested to ensure there are no contaminants. Each shipment of CO2 received at SodaStream sites is tested and goes through a triple verification process: We check the supplier’s documents and certificates, test the CO2 gas in the SodaStream laboratory, and periodically test the CO2 gas in external certified laboratories. All the cylinders manufactured by SodaStream undergo a special cleaning process during production and before shipment of the cylinders.
